Imaging USA- Phoenix, AZ

Hey there!

In the middle of Jauary Carolle and I travelled to Phoenix for the Professional Photographers of America convention- Imaging USA.

We had a great time, and connected with so many friends from around the country that we only get to visit with once a year. We attended a lot of programs, and are approaching 2009 with a positive attitude, and are inspired to create new but timeless portraits this year!

While we there, we spoke at the WHCC booth on the trade show floor, reviewed the portfolios of students and recieved a couple of honors.
Carolle recieved her Photographic Craftsmen degree which is awarded to an individual who has accumulated a particular amount of experience speaking and teaching our artists in our field. I was so proud to be her sponsor and was the one who actually placed her medal on her. Yeah for me!!!
This year I had all four of my entries accepting into the PPA Print competition. By doing so I was named Photographer of the Year!!! Although many other great artists achieve this in their career, this was my first time. I was very proud!
I also recieved enough print merits to earn my Master of Photography degree. I was honored that Carolle would present me with this degree. Needless to say, it was a great night!!
Here are a couple of images from the trip.
Thanks for looking.
Jeff
