Some very big news!!!

Over the weekend of April 26-29th, Carolle and I attended the 49th New Hampshire Professional Photographers convention. It is a yearly event held in North Conway which brings professional photographers from all over the state together for friendship and education. During this conference a print competition is held. This was my third competition in our state, and Carolle's first.

Our big news is that between Carolle and I we swept all of the Court of Honors. The Court of honors is a best of award, and covers four categories. What was so cool about it, is that 3 out of 4 of the award images had a local connection.

All ten of our entries left with ribbons, and 9 of those had blue ribbons on them!!

My awards-
Court of Honor- Social Candid Event- The wedding of Sean and Marie Poza
Court of Honor- Commercial- Just Chill- an image we made for Chill day spa!
Kodak Gallery award for Best wedding album- Sean and Marie Poza

Carolle's awards-
Court of Honor- Portrait- Beautiful Ben
Court of Honor-Illustrative- The long road home
Lustre Color's Highest Scoring print award- The long road home
Best of Show- The long road home
5 for 5- five entries, five blue ribbons

We are so happy!!

Thanks so much in sharing with us in our big news!!!

Very Cool Wedding!

Carolle and I had the honor of photographing a wedding that was performed in traditional Latin. The mass itself differs greatly from what most Catholic church attendees are used to seeing. Natalie and Anthony had a beautiful ceremony, and we wish them a fantastic marriage! Thanks to them for allowing us to tell their story!

A sad note

Recently I received a touching note from a client who visited us in Decemeber:

Dear Jeff,
I wanted to let you know my family was very happy with our portraits. I also wanted to let you know that my father passed away about 6 weeks after our portrait session. Thus what started as a nice family portrait session, came to have very special meaning to us.

We were so happy to have portraits of him, old yes, but smiling and full of life with his extended family.

When I picked up the framed portrait of the family my father had just gone into hospice. We placed the portrait in his room and it gave the staff an understanding that he was the patriarch of a loving family.

One of my father's last pleasures in life was seeing that portrait in his room. Thank you for your kindness and your great photography.

Sincerely,
Janet Glenn

Just wanted to share

Hey There!
I just wanted to share a couple of images from a session I photographed with these three little angels! And yes, the kids are as sweet as they look!!

First Holy Communion

Every year around this time we make a lot of First Holy Communion portraits. As you can see it's not too late to schedule your childs portrait.

The mother of this young lady wanted to capture this special time in her daughters life. One of the things she mentioned to me was " I don't want it on a background" , " I want it to have real things in it", " I like real!"

So we decided to go on a field trip through our building, and found a couple of great spots to make images of her in her lovely new dress. For you moms who are interested the dress was purchased at http://www.busybeeboutique.com/ . Have fun! Thanks for looking.
