Movie Night, Dachowski Photography style!

Everyone who works at the Dachowski Photography studio has their movie favorites. Since we consider ourselves fairly visually driven (wouldn't you agree?), our top picks tend to be rather dramatic with addicting scores and unique plot lines. Looking for a few flicks to liven up your next movie night? Here are some of our staff recommendations:

(Disclaimer: not all of these suggestions are family appropriate, so please consult ratings, reviews and the like before viewing with the entire family!)

Jeff: The Fall
What's to like? The plot line is unique, suspenseful, and visually dramatic.
Immortal Beloved
What's to like? Amazing performances all around!
House of Flying Daggers
What's to like? Gorgeous score, beautiful filming style.

Carolle: Il Postino
What's to like? Incredibly sweet, romantic story and great score.

Abby: A Very Long Engagement
What's to like? Unusual characters, quirky scripting and an entire film in sepia-tone.
Pride and Prejudice
What's to like? Gorgeous, lush scenery and a somewhat authentic aesthetic view of Austen's world. The score is sublime.

Vivian (intern): Tangled
What's to like? Easy movie to love and great animation!

Kristen (intern): The King's Speech
What's to like? Fantastic performances (Helena B. Carter in a level-headed role and a non-pirate version of Geoffrey Rush- what?) on every account.
Stand by Me
What's to like? River Phoenix was good even as a kid.

How about you? What films out there do you think we should check out?
